I have been coming to Kauai for 10 years and this was the most amazing thing I will remember for the rest of my life! There is this serene yet invigorating feeling while flying above the Waimea canyon, Bali Hai, and the NaPali coast. Sea Turtles, Dolphins (50+), and so much more. Much, Much better than a helicopter tour, not as jumpy as a chopper - the ultralight is smooth and sleek. I recommend the 90 minute flight for optimal pleasure. You see the Jewel of Kauai, NaPali. Excellent!! This was the highlight of our trip to Kauai. As an experienced pilot, I really never get to enjoy the simplicity and views that Orville and Wilbur received that first time they took off. Now I can say that I understand how that must have felt. The flight was great, and the piloting was phenomenal. Robert, thanks for the lesson in "reverse flying"... GRIN. (for you non-pilots out there, the aircraft that you will take your ride in flies differently than a "normal" airplane, push to go up, pull to go down... very weird for me since it is just the opposite in my airplane) The island of Kauai and the scenery could never be seen with a helicopter the way that we did. PHENOMENAL!! - Dan

 

A wonderful way to see Kauai!  Robert did a great job of pointing out some beautiful sites and was a very cautious pilot, I felt very safe. I would definitely recommend the ultralight over a helicopter tour. The view and experience is much more open and bird like then an enclosed helicopter ever could be.... helicopters are caged and ugly; after all, the only reason helicopters fly is because the earth repels them!  If you really want to be able to see Kauai and see it as the birds do, take a flight! - Margot

 

From liftoff to touchdown I have never had an anxious moment. I have also never had an experience anything quite like it - remember ET's young friend on his flying bicycle - not so far fetched after all,  this is truly traveling in 3D. Thanks for providing the highlight of our recent trip to Kauai. Seeing the beautiful island from the Ultralight topped all other vantage points. This was the first flight for myself, my wife Marsha and our friend Bob. Your friendly conversation and expert knowledge of Kauai made the experience even more pleasurable. Robert, thank you for an unbelievable experience. As I mentioned, I have experienced most forms of flight, from aerobatics in biplanes and A-6s to soaring, ballooning and helicopters. I had the experience of a lifetime flying with Robert. As a professional helicopter pilot I thought nothing could come closer to the feeling of freedom in flight than a helicopter, but my Ultralight Adventure was fabulous! Flying in the utralight "flying wing" with Robert gave me an exhiliarating flight with a variety of shore skimming, soaring next to lava walls, exploring rain forested canyons and flying above and around fluffy clouds.
